  1. I downloaded the demo from Steam since I’ve been on the fence about this game, although I’ve been following your blog for awhile. Unfortunately the game had terrible performance. If I wasn’t really doing anything and just let the game run it seemed to run fine, but when ever tried to moues over something, zoom in, or place units it would pause and the music/sound effects would stutter and the mouse became unresponsive. Usually for 300-700 ms or so. From following your blog it didn’t seem like this should be happening, so I was curious if there were any known issues like this? I’m eager to try out the game to see if it looks like a good game for me.

A quick list of my specs:
    CPU Core i7 920 @ 2.7GHz
    6 gigs of memory
    Win 7 x64
    Geforce GTX 460

I’m running with what ever the default graphics options are @ 1920×1200.

  2. hmmm. this seems to be affecting a tiny proportion of players, but apparently it is fixed entirely if you run the game outside of steam (just run GTBDemo.exe from it’s folder)
I’m currently investigating a fix for it, but it’s entirely specific to steam integration, the direct-bought copies run fine.
